The Waters Q-TOF Ultima is a quadrupole, orthogonal acceleration time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometer equipped with ESI and nanoESI interfaces. It provides high resolution, sensitivity and mass accuracy.
The Q-TOF Ultima was mainly used for LC-coupled MSMS analysis of peptides derived from gel spots and bands, accurate mass determination of biomolecules, protein post-translational modification studies (e.g. glycopeptide mapping). More recently it is mainly used for Native mass spectrometry using static nanospray.
