The Malvern-PANalytical Epsilon Energy Dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (ED-XRF) was installed as a demonstration instrument in 2018. It is a state-of-the-art ED-XRF with sample changer and is capable of analysing sodium through to uranium. Data can be optionally processed via full fundamental parameter model and Compton ratio correction, and a standardless program for metal analysis is available.
The Lab also has an Olympus portable ED-XRF suitable for chemical analysis of large samples or in the field.
