Used largely for:

  • As a high through-put instrument for obtaining routine 1H, 13C, 31P and 19F spectra of synthetic materials.
  • Automated acquisition of 2D experiments with pulsed field gradients allows a high turnover of 2D experiments on the listed nuclei.

It is also equipped with:

  • BACS-60 sample change
  • BBFO probe
  • Variable temperature BCU05 experiments from 298 K to 373 K and experiments from 223 K to 173 K with liquid nitrogen.

Gauss - 400 MHz Bruker Avance III

Gauss is a 400 MHz Bruker NEO NMR system fitted with a Prodigy BBFO cryoprobe.

 

Used largely for:

  • 1D high-sensitivity, direct detection of many nuclei including 1H and 13C

  • Especially useful for 2D gradient enhanced experiments

  • Multiple sample acquisition using the auto-sample.

  • Super sequence capabilities, allowing for simultaneous acquisition of multiple experiments.

It is equipped with:

  • Ultrashielded magnet

  • Nitrogen cooled Cyroprobe (Prodigy)

  • A multinuclear experiments from15N to 31P.

  • z-gradient for gradient enhanced experiments

  • Variable temperature experiments (-40 to +80oC)

  • Auto-sample changer (Sample Case)

 

Rabi - 400 MHz Avance III HD

Rabi is a 400 MHz Bruker Avance III HD NMR system fitted with a Prodigy cryoprobe.

  • BCU II unit (to -50 C) and liquid nitrogen transfer line (to -100 C) for variable temperature (VT) experiments,
  • BACS 60, automatic 60 bay sample changer.

Hertz - 500 MHz Bruker Avance III

Hertz is a 500 MHz Bruker NEO NMR system fitted with a TBI triple resonance room temperature probe.

Used largely for:

  • Structural studies of organometallic complexes
  • Homo- and heterogeneous catalysis of organic ring closures
  • Kinetics of organic reactions in ionic liquids
  • Naturally derived polymers such as ethyl cellulose and chitosan
  • Polymorphism of pharmaceuticals
  • Structure of unknown insoluble

 

It is also equipped with:

  • TBI 5mm probe capable of performing triple resonance (1H/31P/X) experiments with z-gradients.
  • Liquid Nitrogen transfer line (to -100 C) for variable temperature (VT) experiments
  • Auto-sample changer (Sample Case).

Tesla - 600 MHz Bruker Avance III

Tesla is a 600 MHz Bruker Avance III NMR system fitted with a BBFO room temperature probe.

Ernst is a 600 MHz Bruker Avance III HD NMR system fitted with a TCI helium cryoprobe.

 

Used largely for:

  • metabonomics
  • structural investigations of bio-macromolecules
  • analysis in very small quantities of material

 

It is also equipped with:

  • 5 mm TCI cryoprobe giving the ultimate in 1H, 13C, 15N, 2H and 19F sensitivity
  • Refrigerated SampleJet, capable of holding 500+ samples in 3 mm 5 mm tubes.
  •  BCU 2 allowing experimental acquisition between -40 deg C and +80 deg C

 

Pines - 300 MHz Bruker Avance III

Pines is a 300 MHz Bruker Avance III NMR system on a wide bore magnet for solid state NMR.

Used largely for:

  • Measurements of materials from biomedical, environmental, and chemical labs.

 

It is also equipped with:

  • A wide bore magnet, with multinuclear, magic angle spinning and high rf power capabilities
  • 7mm, 4 mm and 2.5 mm 1H/X broadband CPMAS probes available,
  • BCU-X unit (to -20 oC) for variable temperature experiments.

Bloch - 300 MHz Bruker Neo

Bloch is a 300 MHz Bruker Avance III NMR system on a wide bore magnet for solid state NMR.

Used largely for:

  • Paramagnetic materials
  • Wide temperature range NMR measurements ( -50 C to + 250 C)
  • Assembled battery cells

It is also equipped with:

  • 1.3 mm HX probe
  • 4 mm HX WVT probe
  • Static HX In operando Battery probe

Vega - 400 MHz Bruker Neo

Vega- is a 400 MHz Bruker Avance III NMR system on a wide bore magnet for solid state NMR.

Used largely for:

  • Solid state materials analysis

It is also equipped with:

  • 4mm H-F X/Y probe
  • 1.9 mm H-F X/Y probe

Felix - Bruker Avance III

Felix is a 700 MHz Bruker Avance III NMR system on a narrow bore magnet for solid state NMR.

Used largely for:

  • Biomaterials
  • Ceramic materials
  • Gel state materials
  • Low Gamma nuclei
  • Quadrupolar nuclei
  • Battery materials

It is also equipped with:

  • 4 mm HX Probe
  • 2.5 mm HXY probe

Bohr - Bruker EMXplus EPR

A Bruker EMXplus X-band EPR spectrometer.

Recently upgraded console and cavity up to 10x greater sensitivity than our previous system.
